Recent Work: This 2025 Honda HR-V came in looking for better privacy, heat control, and a darker, sleeker finish.
This 2025 Honda HR-V came into our Indian Land facility ready for a clean, comfort-focused upgrade. With factory-clear glass and the South Carolina sun heating up the cabin, the owner wanted better protection, privacy, and a sleek new look. Full vehicle window tinting was the perfect solution to give this daily driver a cooler, more refined feel from every angle.
Rather than using a generic film or cutting corners, our team looked at the HR-V’s layout, discussed shade options with the owner, and matched the install to the way the vehicle is used every day. The focus was balanced heat rejection, interior comfort, and a darker exterior style that matched the owner’s vision.
At Black Bear Protective Films, we treat every tint project with the same care as full protection installs. Even on new vehicles like this HR-V, the details matter, clean edges, smooth film placement, and a consistent finish are what set us apart. This install gave the vehicle a more confident look and made driving around Indian Land more comfortable from day one.
Working on a brand-new 2025 Honda HR-V requires precision, patience, and a controlled approach. Even fresh from the dealership, the glass isn’t ready for tint until it’s properly prepared. At Black Bear Protective Films, every install follows a structured, hands-on process designed to deliver a clean, uniform result that lasts.
For this project, the goal was to reduce heat, increase privacy, and elevate the vehicle’s appearance, all without compromising visibility or quality.
We started with a full window inspection to confirm the size, shape, and condition of each panel. The owner had clear expectations, darker side windows, a cohesive finish, and improved cabin comfort during daily use around Indian Land.
We reviewed South Carolina tint laws, explained the difference between visible light transmission levels (VLT%), and discussed performance-based features like UV rejection and heat-blocking capabilities. Once the owner settled on the ideal shade, we moved forward with prep.
Proper prep is critical for clean tint work. We cleaned the interior side of all glass using an ammonia-free window cleaner and fine microfiber towels to remove light dust, finger oils, and any residue from manufacturing or delivery.
We paid close attention to window channels, rubber edges, and tight corners where debris often hides. Any contamination left behind can cause lift points, bubbling, or haze under the film, which is why this step gets the same attention as the install itself.
Using our in-house plotter system, we loaded premium window film and selected the exact pattern match for the 2025 Honda HR-V. Each window, front, rear, side, and quarter, was cut digitally to factory specs, eliminating the need to trim by hand on the vehicle.
This ensures an exact fit, consistent edges, and no accidental scratches or cuts on the glass or surrounding trim.
The rear windshield has a subtle curve, which means the film must be pre-shaped before install. Using a controlled heat gun, we softly heated the film to allow it to relax into the shape of the window. This avoids tension, creases, or distortion during the installation.
Once formed, each panel of film was carefully staged and kept dust-free until application.
Inside the vehicle, we applied a slip solution to the glass surface and positioned each film panel into place. Using non-marring squeegees and soft edge tools, we worked from the center out, pressing moisture and air out evenly to avoid water pockets or trapping debris.
Each panel was aligned with precision. Edges were tucked neatly into seals without overhang or gaps, creating a seamless, factory-style appearance.
After installation, we used a final heat pass to help the adhesive activate and bond fully to the glass. This is especially important for curved glass and edges where film tension can lead to lifting if not fully set.
We inspected each window under LED lighting to check for distortion, edge lift, clarity, and clean alignment. Once everything passed, the vehicle was wiped down and staged for client pickup.
Once the install was complete, this 2025 Honda HR-V looked exactly how the owner pictured it, sleek, clean, and perfectly shaded. The dark tint brought out the bold lines of the black exterior and gave the SUV a more confident, finished appearance.
Inside, the cabin felt noticeably cooler and more private. Glare was reduced. The rear seats felt more comfortable, even in midday sun. From every angle, the tint looked factory-level, no light gaps, no haze, no peeling edges.
The result? A vehicle that didn’t just look better, it felt better to drive. And for the owner, it was exactly the upgrade they came in for.
